This Privacy Policy explains how Sauce Collective, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Jamerator mobile application and the jamerator.app website (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
Jamerator is a music-practice app that generates chord progressions, displays scale shapes, and plays them back. It does not require an account or login, and your saved progressions and settings are stored only on your device.
We designed Jamerator to collect as little information as possible. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, or other contact details, and we do not require you to create an account.
The information collected through the App falls into the following categories, almost all of it gathered automatically by the third-party services described in Section 4:
Device identifiers, including the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and similar identifiers, used to serve and measure advertising and for analytics.
Usage and interaction data, such as which features you use (for example, generating a progression, viewing a scale, starting a jam session, or making a purchase) and how often, used for analytics and to improve the App.
Advertising data, such as ad impressions and interactions, used to deliver and measure ads.
Approximate (coarse) location, which may be inferred from your IP address by our advertising provider. We do not collect precise GPS location.
Diagnostic data, such as general device type and operating system version.
We do not access your microphone, camera, contacts, photos, or precise location.
We use the information above to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the App;
Display advertising and measure its performance (for users who have not purchased the ad-free upgrade);
Understand how the App is used so we can improve features and fix problems; and
Process and validate in-app purchases (see Section 6).
Jamerator uses the following third-party services, which may collect and process information as described in their own privacy policies:
Google AdMob (advertising). We display interstitial ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), advertising data, and approximate location to serve and measure ads.
Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device’s settings and through Google’s ad settings.
Google Firebase Analytics. We use Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to collect anonymous usage and interaction data so we can understand how the App is used and improve it. Firebase may use a device identifier to do this.
Firebase privacy and security: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
App Tracking Transparency. On iOS, we will only access the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) for cross-app/website tracking if you grant permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized using the IDFA. You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.
We do not sell your personal information.
The “Jam Together” feature connects nearby devices directly using Apple’s local peer-to-peer technology (over Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi). This connection is device-to-device and does not send your jam-session data to us or to any server over the internet.
Jamerator offers a one-time in-app purchase that removes ads. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple’s handling of payment information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Saved progressions and preferences remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Information processed by our advertising and analytics providers is retained according to their respective policies.
Our third-party providers (Google and Apple) may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the Services, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where required, we (and our advertising provider through the in-app consent prompt) ask for your consent before processing data for personalized advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time through the App’s privacy settings or your device settings.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. To exercise these rights, contact us as described in Section 13.
Jamerator is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted within the App or on our website.
